NATURE AND NAME OF EVENT: A restricted event known as 2012 CMC Pre DJ & Autumn Rally 2. DATE OF EVENT: 12 February 2012. (Start) 12 February 2012 (Finish). 3.DESCRIPTION OF EVENT : A Regularity Trial over total distance of approximately 180 kilometers starting at 09H00 hours on 12/02/2012 From CMC Club House Germiston and finishing about 13H00 hours on 12/02/2012 at CMC Club House Germiston, comprising three separate score groups: Score Group A: For Motorcycles manufactured before 31st December 1936 (DJ eligible Motorcycles) Score Group B: For Motorcycles Manufactured between 1st January 1937 and 31st December 1985 Score Group C: For Motorcars manufactured before 31st December 1985 Programme Sunday 12 Feb 2012 07h00; Documentation, Scrutineering & route

JURISDICTION: Held under the international Sporting Codes of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and/or the Federation Internationale Motocycliste (FIM), the General Competition Rules (GCRs) of Motorsport South Africa (MSA), the Standing Supplementary Regulations (VSRs) of the Southern African Veteran and Vintage Association (SAVVA), amended January 2009, and these Supplementary Regulations (SRs). 6. SAVVA PERMIT NUMBER: SAVVA Steward : Peter Aneck-Hahn 9. ENTRIES: [SEE VSRs 10 AND 11.] The official ENTRY FORM is attached. Entries open immediately and all entries must be sent to; 82 Carina Avenue, Or faxed to 011 425 1284. Or emailed to chairman@classicmotorcycleclub.co.za Fully completed Entry Forms must reach the organizers by not later than 13 January 2012 together with the entry fee of R100.00 per rider and R50.00 per passenger/navigator. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organizers Closing Date: Friday 13 January 2012 10. The minimum number of entries is 30 and the maximum is 60 11. METHOD OF SETTING SPEEDS: [See VSR 24} Speeds will be set in accordance with Method 1 as defined in VSR 24 (a). A choice of the following speed groups is offered on the Entry Form. A=50km/h B=60km/h C=70km/h D=80km/h 12. COMPETITION NUMBERS AND STARTING TIMES: [See VSR 16.]
Competition numbers will be supplied by the organizers and must be
returned at the finish of the event [VSR 16(b)]. Competition numbers and
starting times will be advised in the Final Instructions [See VSR 6 (c).]
Competition numbers will be displayed in accordance with VSR 16

PRE – START REQUIREMENTS: [See VSR 12.] Where the vehicle has not been dated by SAVVA in terms of VSRs 12 (f) and 14 (e) the entrant will need to satisfy the Clerk of the Course and Organisers as to the authenticity and date of manufacture of the vehicle entered at documentation / registration, but subject to SR 8 herein. 15. PRE – START SCRUTINY AND DOCUMENTATION: [See VSRs 15 and 20.] Competitors are required to report at least 60 minutes before their start time to complete formalities. 16. ROUTE SCHEDULE: [See VSR 21.] Route schedules will be as per VSA 21 (b) will be pre-calculated and will be issued to competitors 90 minutes before their departure time upon registration. 17. TIME KEEPING AND CONTROLS: [See VSRs 24, 25, 26 and 27.] Sealed watches will not be required. Open, secret, and hidden controls may be used. Secret controls will be operated in terms of Method 1 as defined in VSR 26 (a) (ii). 18. RESULTS: [See VSR29.] Results will be announced at about 15H00 hours on 13 February 2011 at CMC Clubhouse Germiston. 19. PROTESTS: [See VSR 30.] 20. SCORING: [See VSR 28.] 21. PENALTIES: [See VSR 33.] 22. POSTPONEMENT OR CANCELLATION: [See VSR 9.] 23. SAVVA MOTORSPORT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS (VSR 17) 24. COMPETITION LICENCE: A member in possession of a current valid membership card of any SAVVA affiliated club or MSA affiliated club is deemed to be in possession of a Competition Licence. For this event it is required that the vehicle entered be dated by SAVVA and a dating certificate be issued. Alternatively, the entrant should submit adequate proof that the vehicle complies with the eligibility conditions of entry. 25. TIE-DOWNS Score Group A: Pre DJ Shield 1st Overall Score Group B: The British Trophy 1st Overall Other awards and trophies might be presented at the organizers discretion. Remember that this rally counts towards the Arnold Burton Trophy. VMC Trophy will be awarded to the best performance by a team of three motorcyclists. Score Group C: Awards and trophies might be presented at the organizers discretion. 27. Lunch Please bring your braai meat, Fires will be provided. Please note that the CMC premises are licenced so do not bring alcohol. 28. Parking Parking for trailers has been arranged and you will be
directed upon your arrival. |
